Independent filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda is all set to make his OTT debut with his web-series The Jengaburu Curse. The show is scheduled to release on a major OTT platform on August 9. While the trailer promises an engaging narrative, there is one element that sets The Jengaburu Curse apart from other web shows.

Cli-fi, or Climate-fiction is a film genre that deals with stories about environmental issues and climate change, a growing concern for current times. This is also a genre that has served as base for many of Panda’s previous works like Kadwi Hawa, Kaun Kitney Paani Mein, Kalira Atita, Halkaa, and most notably I am Kalam, which had received many prestigious awards on a global level.

The page further states that "The story delves into the exploitation of natural resources for human greed, resulting in fatal consequences."
Produced by the Studio Next, The Jengaburu Curse features several veteran actors like Makrand Deshpande and Nasser among others. The show is written by Mayank Tewari who has popular works like Newton and Delhi Crime to his credit. Sacred Games fame music director Alokananda Dasgupta has composed the score for the show.
