You Will Miss Sushma Swaraj After Watching The Diplomat: John Abraham | EXCLUSIVE
"If I have to let the cat out of the bag, you will miss Sushma Swaraj after watching The Diplomat," John Abraham said
New Delhi: Bollywood actor and producer John Abraham made a striking revelation about his upcoming film The Diplomat, stating that audiences will be reminded of late former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj while watching it.
Speaking exclusively to Republic Media Network's Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami, John hinted at the film's strong diplomatic undertones and its portrayal of high-stakes international negotiations. "If I have to let the cat out of the bag, you will miss Sushma Swaraj after watching The Diplomat," he said, suggesting that the film pays tribute to the sharp, decisive diplomacy that defined Swaraj’s tenure.
The Diplomat - A Step Ahead of Madras Cafe?
When asked by Arnab whether The Diplomat is on the same level as Madras Cafe or a step ahead, John remained confident about its impact. While Madras Cafe explored espionage and international conflict, The Diplomat delves deeper into the complexities of diplomatic maneuvering, particularly in high-tension situations.
An Emotional High in the Climax
John also revealed that the most emotional moment in the film is its climax, which he believes will leave a lasting impact on audiences. "The climax leaves the audience on a high point. It is gratifying for an actor or a producer to see his product being appreciated," he shared.
'Diplomacy Happens Everywhere, But in Pakistan, It’s Ice-Skating'
Speaking to Arnab, John also discussed the complexities of the real-life rescue mission. When asked why the operation was so difficult, he pointed to a dialogue from ‘The Diplomat’ which says “Pakistan’s unpredictable diplomatic landscape, where negotiations are far more delicate than in other nations.”
