Honey: According to the Mayo Clinic, honey contains mostly sugar, a mix of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, iron, zinc and antioxidants. It also acts as a natural sweetener and mixing one tablespoon of honey in warm milk will enhance its nutritional value.

Turmeric: It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory compounds that can treat various ailments. Having turmeric milk before bed promotes better sleep, strengthen immunity and guard against a variety of diseases.

Cinnamon: It is one of the healthy spice and if added to a warm glass of milk promotes several health benefits. Cinnamon can decrease the enzyme activity that helps in managing cholesterol levels. According to WebMD, an essential oil in cinnamon called cinnamaldehyde can target your fat cells and make them burn more energy, thus promoting weight loss.

Ginger: The combination of ginger and milk has amazing health benefits. It can help in relieving cough, cold and nausea, reduces inflammation and improves digestive functions.
