Essential Lifestyle Tips To Lower Cancer Risk
Check your diet: Eating healthy is essential no matter what the reasons are. Avoid processed meat and ensure to add more vegetables and greens into your daily diet. Drink more fluid such as water, organic juice etc, but don’t misuse alcohol.
Abstain from smoking or chewing tobacco: According to the Mayo Clinic, tobacco eating has proven to be linked to cancers such as mouth, throat, pancreas etc.
Stay active: Try to cultivate an active lifestyle if you have a stagnant routine. As per research, staying fit and maintaining a healthy weight can also reduce the risk of cancer.
Infections: Prevent yourself from sexually transmitted infections and other infections by practising safe sex. Ensure that you do not share needles for injecting drugs as this practice “can lead to HIV, as well as hepatitis B and hepatitis C — which can increase the risk of liver cancer”, as per Mayo Clinic.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure: Excessive exposure to harsh sunlight can increase the risk of skin cancer. Be sure to wear sunscreen, cover up as much as possible, and consider wearing a sun hat for added protection.
