Kolkata: Days after the horrific Kolkata Doctor Rape and Murder Case, the victim's father has revealed what his daughter had written in her last diary entry, not knowing that it would be her last.

The brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata has shocked the nation and as the investigation continues, the details that are coming, are disturbing and heartbreaking, to say the least.

Abhaya's Last Diary Entry Before She Was Raped and Murdered

According to a leading daily, Abhaya wrote her last diary entry on the day before her murder, before leaving for her night shift at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

The victim's father said that in her last entry, the trainee doctor had written all that she aspired to achieve in her life and what she wanted to become.

Her diary entry read that she wanted to top her exams and become a gold medalist in her MD course; she was completely dedicated towards her profession.

‘Will Hurt My Daughter If I Accept Money… I Want Justice’

The CBI officials had met the family of the victims as part of their investigation after which, the victim's father spoke to the media. He said that he was offered compensation for her daughter's death which he refused and that he wants justice.

In his words, “CBI has assured us that the accused will be arrested at the earliest and awarded strict punishment based on whatever we have told them...I have turned down the compensation. It will hurt my daughter if I accept money as compensation for her death. I want justice.”

‘Consider Everyone Who is Standing With Us, as My Sons and Daughters’

The victim's father also acknowledged the support he has been getting from across the nation and has thanked all those who are standing by him and his daughter, to ensure justice is delivered.

He said, “I express gratitude to everyone, regarding the protest that has been happening across the country and world. I consider everyone who is standing with us, as my sons and daughters.”
