Kabul: Multiple explosions rocked Afghanistan's capital city, Kabul, on Thursday night in suspected Pakistani airstrikes, triggering tensions in the region. The Taliban spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, confirmed the explosion, assuring that the situation is under control and investigations are underway.

He added that the situation was under control and that there were no reports of casualties or damage. However, the lack of transparency and the absence of concrete information have only added to the uncertainty and fear gripping the city.

According to Mujahid, "There is no cause for concern, and investigations are ongoing." However, details about the incident are yet to be ascertained, with no official reports on casualties or damages.

In a statement on social media platform X, Mujahid wrote, "The situation is under control. The investigation of the incident is ongoing, and no reports of casualties or damages have been released so far."

According to multiple sources, the explosions were heard near Abdulhaq Square in Kabul, with reports emerging that a vehicle carrying Noor Wali Mehsud, the leader of the Pakistani Taliban, may have been targeted in the strike. However, the exact circumstances and impact of the incident remain unclear.

Fighter Jets Spotted Hovering Over Kabul Sky

The explosion in Kabul has triggered tensions in the region, as suspected Pakistani fighter jets were spotted hovering in the sky during the blasts. While details about the incident are still sketchy, multiple sources claim that the vehicle carrying Mehsud was targeted in the strike. However, there has been no official confirmation of Mehsud's status, and the Taliban's statement has done little to alleviate concerns about the situation.

Meanwhile, reports suggested that Pakistan's Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), is set to hold a press conference in Peshawar on Friday afternoon. The experts have linked the press conference to the recent attack on Kabul and suggested that the address will provide clarity on the situation.
