Terrorists Killed In J&K Were Carrying Steel Core Bullets To Pierce Armoured Shield

Akhnoor: In yet another terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor, terrorists attacked two army vehicles following which three terrorists have been killed. As per Republic, the terrorists used steel core bullets to pierce through the soldiers' armoured shield.

3 Terrorists Killed in Terror Attack in J&K's Akhnoor

A day after terrorists opened fire at two army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor, two terrorists have been killed following an encounter. A total of three terrorists had opened fire, two have been neutralised and one is still at large.

According to Republic sources, the terrorists that have been killed in the Akhnoor Encounter were using steel piercing bullets and how this ‘steel piercing bullets’ terror plan was executed to pierce through the bullet proof bunker of the Jammu and Kashmir police.

Akhnoor Terror Attack

On Monday, October 28, three terrorists allegedly fired upon two Army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor. The officials launched a massive search operation in the area. As per Republic's source, one was an Ambulance, while the other was an army gypsy that was targeted. More than a dozen rounds were fired upon army vehicles.

This is not the first terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir in the past days. A civilian was killed and five soldiers were injured after terrorists attacked an Army vehicle near Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. The vehicle, belonging to the 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), was en route from Botapathri when it came under fire. One civilian working as an army porter succumbed to his injuries.

Speaking to Republic World, Jammu and Kashmir Police sources confirmed that a Rashtriya Rifles unit stationed along the Line of Control in Gulmarg was attacked by terrorists. The attack took place in a highly restricted area, typically accessible only to the Indian Army, near the Indo- Pakistan border. Security forces have since intensified efforts to secure the region in the wake of the incident.
