‘TMC Jaabe, Tobe Parivartan Aasbe…’: PM Modi’s Stinging Attack On Mamata Govt, Says Wants To Bring Back Bengal’s Glory
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Durgapur, launched a sharp attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack against the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, saying that true development in West Bengal would begin “only after the TMC is removed from power.” Speaking in Bengali, the Prime Minister said, “TMC jaabe, tabe parivartan aasbe (change in Bengal could only come once TMC exits.)
‘Gunda Tax’ and Threats to Businessmen
Accusing the TMC of stalling economic growth, PM Modi said, “In West Bengal, money is being demanded from businessmen, the people of the TMC threaten them... The 'Gunda Tax' of TMC obstructs investment in the state.”
He added that the ruling party in Bengal is actively working against investment and job creation, keeping the youth deprived of opportunities.
Lawlessness and One-Sided Policing
Modi also raised the issue of violence in the state, citing incidents like the Murshidabad riots. He alleged, “Riots like Murshidabad happen in West Bengal and the police take unilateral action. There is no ray of justice in West Bengal... The state government cannot protect the lives of the people.”
Vision for an Industrial Bengal Under BJP
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister promised a transformation in the state’s economic fortunes. “The poor condition of West Bengal can be changed. After the formation of the BJP government, West Bengal will become one of the top industrial states of the nation,” he said.
The Durgapur rally is part of the BJP’s aggressive campaign in the state ahead of upcoming elections, with Modi positioning the party as the only viable alternative to the ruling TMC.
