New Delhi: Delhi court on Friday, December 15 granted a seven-day police custody for Lalit Jha, who was arrested in connection with the Parliament security breach case.

Special Judge Hardeep Kaur took this decision after the public prosecutor asserted that Lalit Jha was believed to be the mastermind behind the incident and that his sustained custodial interrogation was essential to unravel the entire conspiracy.

The court's decision came in response to an application filed by the Delhi police, which had sought a 15-day custody for Jha. The police argued that a longer period of interrogation was necessary to thoroughly probe the alleged conspiracy and gather crucial information related to the security breach.

Lalit Jha- Mastermind behind security breach

Republic's investigation pinpointed Lalit Jha as the mastermind behind the Lok Sabha breach. His connections stretch from Bengal to Karnataka, revealing how he orchestrated the incident.

Lalit's unsuspecting parents in Bihar had no knowledge of their son's alleged involvement. Further investigation into his role sheds light on his background as a student activist and a prominent figure in the NGO scene in West Bengal.

Pre-planned conspiracy

Prior to the breach, Lalit reportedly harbored the co-accused at his Gurugram residence. The investigation raises questions about the extent of his influence and the central role he played in planning the attack.

The key question arises: Were the intruders mere puppets, manipulated by Lalit Jha's design? The six states implicated in the plot include West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
