BREAKING: Earthquake of Magnitude 4.4 Hits Sikkim's Soreng

Gangtok: An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter Scale struck Sikkim's Soreng on Friday morning, the National Center for Seismology said. 

According to the NCS, the tremors were felt at around 6.57m.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located at Latitude: 27.22 N and Longitude : 88.33 E.

The quake took place at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The NCS tweeted." EQ of M: 4.4, On: 09/08/2024 06:57:08 IST, Lat: 27.22 N, Long: 88.33 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Soreng, Sikkim(sic)."

However, there were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage to properties.
