Republic Bangla, the voice of the people, unveiled its highly anticipated integrated news studio 'Bodhan' on October 15, just a day after Mahalaya, ahead of Bengal's dearest Durga Puja. ‘Bodhan’ in Bengali, 'বোধন', means awakening or enlightenment. The inauguration signifies a similar awakening, not only for the Republic Media Network but also for the people of Bengal.

The inauguration marks a milestone not only for the Republic Media Network but also for the people of Bengal. This ‘state-of-the-art’ studio stands as a testament to the network's unwavering dedication to the people.

A glimpse inside: Eastern India’s biggest news studio to amplify voices of Bengal

Senior Editor Mayukharanjan Ghosh and Senior Anchor Swarnali Sarkar were present during the inauguration of eastern India’s biggest news studio, providing the first glimpse of R Bangla’s ‘world-class’ news studio. With this new facility, Republic Bangla aims to amplify its reach and impact, empowering more voices, fostering greater strength, and stimulating healthy competition.

Niranjan Narayanaswamy, Executive Editor of the Republic Media Network, extended his congratulations to the Bangla team for the occasion. During the interaction, he emphasised that Republic Network is committed to being the unequivocal voice of the people, transcending language barriers from Kannada to Bangla, which is similar to what Republic has kept on reiterating, 'nation first, no matter what'.

Comprehensive coverage: From conflicts to scandals

Swamy highlighted the network's comprehensive coverage, ranging from the Israel-Hamas conflict to Bengaluru’s IT raids and the exposure of teacher recruitment scams. The Republic's commitment to bringing the truth to light has been evident in its relentless pursuit of the most significant stories that even transcend India’s geographical borders, as ‘Good stories have no frontiers’.

A stronger and more resolute Republic Bangla

R Bangla’s anchor Sarkar stated, "Republic is here with power as the voice of the people of Bengal", underlining the network's resolve to ‘confront’ and challenge ‘unjust policies’. The new integrated news studio is set to become the epicentre of information for eastern India, solidifying Republic's position as a powerhouse of journalistic integrity.

The timing of the newsroom's inauguration, coinciding with the onset of Durga puja, adds a profound cultural resonance to this momentous occasion. Republic's history has been punctuated by groundbreaking milestones, from the introduction of the recent Kannada channel, the launch of R Digital, Republic's digital wing, and now, the inauguration of Eastern India’s Biggest News Studio facility.

Meenakshi Dev Biswas, an Senior Anchor from Mumbai, reflecting on the birth of Republic Bangla on March 7, 2021, noted the parallel with the unveiling of this colossal news studio. The newsroom, as stated by both the senior editors, is envisioned as a hub that not only amplifies the voices of Bengal but also connects experts and guests from all corners of India, providing diverse insights on a wide array of issues. The debut of Republic Bengal's world-class news studio marks a turning point, signifying a stronger and more resolute Republic Bangla. This new chapter promises to usher in a stronger, smarter, and more determined voice for the people of Bengal.
