Ghaziabad Shocker: Cockroach Found in Dinner at Vaishali Restaurant, Complaint Lodged

Delhi-NCR: In a shocking incident, a customer allegedly found a cockroach in the food served at Pind Baluchi restaurant at Mahagun Mall of Ghaziabad's Vaishali, sparking outrage over serious lapses in food security. 

The customer who allegedly claimed a cockroach in the dinner plate met with mischief when raised the issue with the restaurant staff. A complaint has been filed with the local police and the Food Safety Department.

The incident came to the fore when Doctor Mahesh Chaudhary, posted at a private hospital, visited the Pind Baluchi restaurant at Mahagun Mall to celebrate his son Riyansh Chaudhary's birthday. He visited the restaurant, located on the third floor of the mall, with 15 others and ordered food at 8 pm on Thursday. 

He allegedly spotted a cockroach in the food immediately when it was served. On raising the concern with the restaurant employee, Chaudhary didn't get a satisfying answer which prompted him to take the food plate to the manager. 

He claimed that the manager disposed of the food immediately to hide the cockroach. However, Chaudhary took several photos of the same to claim the incident. He further claimed that the manager was drunk when he reached out to him. 

“Instead of accepting the mistake, the manager started a heated argument with us. He called other employees to abuse us and get rid of the incident,” Chaudhary said. 

The Kaushambi police station claimed that they received no such complaint in connection to the matter.
