JKNC vice president Omar Abdullah also tweeted, "Pained by the news of yet another targeted attack against a civilian in Anantnag area of South Kashmir. The murder of Deepak who worked with a traveling circus to earn an honest living is an abomination & I condemn this militant attack unreservedly. May Deepak’s soul rest in peace."

A person was killed in terror attack at South Kashmir's Anantnag district. According to the J&K police, the man was identified as Deepu from Udhampur and received four gunshot wounds. The area has been cordoned off by joint security forces and an investigation is underway.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah landed in Manipur on May 28, a day after clashes broke out in the state. All cabinet ministers including CM N Biren Singh, Eastern Army Commander, and top officials of the State welcomed him at the Imphal airport. "The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives in the tragedies in Mysuru and Dhanbad. On May 29, six people died due to electrocution at Nichitpur railway crossing under Dhanbad division of Eastern Central Railway whereas 10 lost their lives in a road accident in Mysuru.

The Indian Army and Assam Rifles have safely moved 328 civilians from Sugnu to Sajik Tampak in Manipur during its rescue operations. UAVs, Mine Protected Vehicles, and QRTs were tasked to ensure the safe movement of 2,000 civilians from Serou to Pangaltabi in vehicles, the Indian Army said. The preliminary findings of the post-mortem report of the 16-year-old minor girl revealed that she was stabbed 16 times by the arrested accused Sahil (20). The force ruptured her skull after she was attacked by a blunt object. Police are now awaiting the detailed post-mortem report.

"The accused Sahil has been nabbed from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He is being brought here. We will collect all the best possible evidence to ensure the accused gets the strictest punishment," Delhi Police Special CP Dependra Pathak told ANI.

A 16-year-old girl was murdered by a man named Sahil (20) who was arrested by the police in Bulandshahr. The deceased was stabbed multiple times and later bludgeoned to death in public view.

A 16-year-old girl was stabbed 40-50 times and then was hit by a stone multiple times after which she died. All this has been captured on CCTV. Several people saw this but did not pay heed. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday filed its second Supplementary Chargesheet in the case related to the Naxal attack on former MLA Gurcharan Nayak, in which two police personnel were killed in Jharkhand in January 2022.
 
Two accused have been named in the Chargesheet, filed in the NIA Special Court Ranchi. They have been identified as 25-year-old Tivari Bankira @ Shaka and 20-year-old Sadan Korah @ Sajan, both armed cadres of CPI (Maoist), a proscribed terrorist organisation. The duo, who hail from West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, have been charged under various sections of IPC and UA(P) Act. While Tivari was arrested on 30th November 2022, Sadan has been in custody since 13th February 2023.
 
The attack had taken place on 4th January last year at High School Jhilrua, P.S Goilkera, District West Sighbhum. The Jharkhand police had initially registered the case (FIR no. 01/2022) at the local Police station. Subsequently, on 30th June 2022, the NIA had re-registered the case  as RC-03/2022/NIA/RNC. Following investigations, NIA had charge-sheeted 14 accused persons on 31st December 2022 in this case.
 
As per NIA investigations, Tivari and Sadan were providing support to CPI (Maoist) for furthering its terror and violence realted activities and waging of a war against the Government of India. They were part of the conspiracy to carry out the terrorist attack on Gurucharan Nayak and his bodyguards. They were also part of the Special Action Team established by the banned terror outfit to execute the crime. 
 
The two accused had attended the meeting in which the conspiracy to attack Gurcharan Nayak with deadly weapons at Project +2, High School Jhilrua, was hatched. They had done a recce of the spot a day before the incident and had also participated in the training to execute the attack.

Voting has started on two MLC seats of the Legislative Council in UP. Voting started from 9 am till 4 pm. CM Yogi Adityanath castes his vote. The result of the election will be declared at 5 pm. Both these seats were vacated by the resignation of Laxman Acharya and the death of Banwari Lal Dohra. Earlier both the seats were with BJP.
