Ayodhya has prepared a cultural extravaganza for PM Modi's visit to showcase its heritage, with projects worth Rs 15,000 crore slated to be inaugurated today.
Ramotsav 2024: Ayodhya, a city steeped in cultural heritage and significance, is bustling with preparations to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, December 30. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Cultural Department to organise a reception for the PM.
PM Modi to inaugurate projects worth Rs 15000 crore
During his visit, PM Modi is slated to inaugurate multiple projects amounting to a staggering sum of Rs 15,000 crore. The city is set to come alive with over 1400 local artists showcasing their talents across 40 stages lining the route from the airport through Dharma Path and Ram Path to the railway station.
Ayodhya gets ready to showcase its vibrant culture
In a statement released by the Chief Minister's office, it was highlighted that along with the vibrant cultural performances, 30 local artists will display their skills at the airport meeting venue. The elaborate plan encompasses 40 stages strategically placed to captivate both the Prime Minister and the audience.
The Cultural Department has prepared for this grand welcome, with a focus on highlighting Uttar Pradesh's rich cultural heritage. The artists will perform at various stages set up along the route, aiming not just to entertain but also to celebrate the region's artistic legacy.
Staging across Ayodhya
The detailed plan unfolds with staging across Ayodhya:
- It includes a grand platform at Gate Number 3 of the airport, complemented by five stages tracing the path from the airport to the Saket Petrol Pump.
- Along the Dharma Path, a series of 26 stages will spotlight the cultural performances.
- The Ram Path will host five dedicated stages for cultural display.
- while the stretch from Arundhati Parking to Tedhi Bazaar and the Railway Station will be adorned with three additional stages.
This organised layout aims to show the vibrant cultural heritage of Ayodhya at various significant locations, providing a visual treat for both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the eagerly awaiting audience.
An unprecedented welcome for the PM in Ayodhya
The press release stated, "CM Yogi Adityanath has directed an unprecedented welcome for the PM in Ayodhya. The Culture Department has also made extensive preparations for this." It further highlighted the artists who will contribute to this grand event, including Vaibhav Mishra, Mohit Chaurasia, Khajan Singh, Mahipal, Ragini Srivastava, Brajesh Pandey, Sugam Singh Shekhawat, Brj Bihari Dubey, Vindhyachal Azaad, Mukesh Kumar, JK Sharma, Ramveer, Palinaath, Mamta, and Manish Yadav, among others.
The sequence of cultural programs promises a colourful representation of various cultures, encompassing 'Avadhi,' 'Vantangiya,' and 'Faruwahi.' The diverse lineup of performances includes folk dances like 'Avadhi' folk dance by Ragini Srivastava and Brajesh Pandey, 'Vantangia' dance by Sugam Singh Shekhawat, and an unparalleled 'Rai' folk dance performance by Brj Bihari Dubey, Vindhyachal Azaad, Mukesh Kumar, and JK Sharma.
Further, the cultural extravaganza will extend beyond Uttar Pradesh, offering glimpses of folk dances from other states. Artists like Ramveer from Palwal, Palinaath from Faridabad, Mamta from Rajasthan, and Manish Yadav from Madhya Pradesh will grace the stages, presenting their unique dance forms.
