Take a look at the complete list of traffic restrictions issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Mumbai Police, Pradnya Jedge.

  • The Ramnath Goenka Marg, from Sakhar Bhavan to its junction with Vidhan Bhavan will remain closed for all vehicular traffic, as and when required, during the Maharashtra Budget Session.
  • Pay-and-park facility has been temporarily removed on Jamanalal Bajaj Road (Usha Mehta Chowk - Dead End), Dorabji Tata Road (Murli Deora Chowk - Genda Point), Vinay K Shah Road (Jamanalal Bajaj Road - Murli Deora Chowk), Ramnath Goenka Marg (Sakhar Bhavan - Vidhan Bhavan) and the Vidhan Bhavan Road (Union Bank Building - Madam Cama Road).
  • Dignitaries will be able to park their vehicles on Free Press Journal and VV Rao Road.

All emergency vehicles including fire brigades, ambulances and police vehicles are exempted from these traffic restrictions.

In another news, officials have reported that almost 10 lakh new vehicles in Maharashtra have been put on the road in the past five years without the required high-security registration plates (HSRPs); several of these vehicles are government-owned. The state government made it compulsory for vehicles registered before April 1, 2019, to have HSRPs installed to reduce vehicle theft and standardize identification. The responsibility for fitting these plates lies with the manufacturers before they deliver the vehicles to customers. The deadline for installing HSRPs has been extended to April 30.
