Reacting to exit poll predictions, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said, "Mahayuti will get a clear majority with 160-165 seats. The CM will be of Mahayuti. The way in the last 10 years, development has happened under the leadership of PM Modi, Maharashtra has received at least Rs 10 lakh crore from the central govt...Maharashtra has benefitted from the central govt's schemes. In the last 2.5 years, whatever decisions taken by govt of Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, will also benefit Mahayuti..."
 

On exit poll predictions for Maharashtra & Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said, "The country is standing strongly with Modi Ji, and one after another election results are proving this... The BJP alliance will get more seats than what is being said in the exit polls. There is no confusion among the people that if the country has to be developed and the country has to be made a superpower, then only Modi Ji can make this difficult task possible, that is why the public is standing with him."

On exit poll predictions on Maharashtra elections, State Minister Deepak Kesarkar says, "My prediction is that we will cross 160 (seats) and 10-15 independents may join us...CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis along with Ajit dada took a lot of effort to see that we could win. The kind of welfare measures we have approved made a great impact. Ajit dada went to all regions of Maharashtra...."

Congress leader Pranav Jha said, " It is a clear mandate in favour of INDI govt, Mahagathbandhan is going to sweep the elections. We are going to do better than previous time, there was great enthusiasm among the voters...there was a clear indication that BJP was no match, there was no contest..."

Reacting to Exit Poll predictions, Maharashtra Minister and NCP candidate from Yeola, Chhagan Bhujbal said,"...In the last six months, the Mahayuti government brought a lot of schemes and implemented them...The fake narrative which was being spread by them was busted.  A 100% Mahayuti government will be formed. in Maharashtra..."

The latest exit polls from MATRIZE and P-MARQ are showing mixed results ahead of the elections. In Maharashtra, things look promising for the ruling Mahayuti coalition, with both pollsters predicting a simple majority for the BJP-led government. MATRIZE forecasts between 150 and 170 seats for the Eknath Shinde-led coalition, while P-MARQ gives them 137 to 157 seats. A poll of polls also suggests the Mahayuti coalition is likely to return to power in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

However, the picture is less favourable in Jharkhand. Both MATRIZE and P-MARQ exit polls predict the downfall of the Hemant Soren-led coalition, with the BJP-led alliance set to win between 41 and 48 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly, according to MATRIZE. In contrast, the INDI alliance is expected to secure between 25 and 39 seats. P-MARQ’s numbers are slightly more optimistic for INDI, predicting 37 to 47 seats for them with a 42% vote share, while it sees the BJP-led alliance winning just 31 to 40 seats. When we combine the results from both pollsters, the average suggests the BJP+ alliance will win around 41 seats, while INDI is projected to secure 35 seats. The remaining 5 seats could be crucial, giving other parties the role of kingmaker.

According to the Matrize exit poll predictions for Maharashtra, the Mahayuti may get 150-170 seats, MVA might bag 110-130 seats while 8-10    seats may be won by other candidates.

P-MARQ Exit Poll Prediction For Maharashtra 

• The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance may have an edge against Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), according to P-MARQ exit poll prediction.
• The Mahayuti  may win P-MARQ 137-157 seats, MVA may get 126-146 while others might bag somewhere between 2-8 seats. 

The Congress party has chosen to abstain from joining the televised exit poll debate following the conclusion of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, as confirmed by party sources.
 

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP secured 105 seats, the undivided Shiv Sena won 56 seats, and the undivided NCP claimed 54 seats, while Congress won 44 seats.

The India Today-Axis exit poll forecasted 166-194 seats for the NDA (BJP and Shiv Sena) and 72-90 seats for the UPA (Congress-NCP).

News18-IPSOS predicted a strong 243 seats for the NDA and 41 for the UPA. Republic-Jan Ki Baat estimated the NDA would win 216-230 seats, with the UPA getting 52-59 seats. Times Now projected 230 seats for the NDA and 48 for the UPA.

ABP News-C Voter’s projection placed the NDA at 204 seats and the UPA at 69 seats.

After numerous exit polls incorrectly predicted a Congress victory in the recent Haryana elections, several political parties questioned the integrity of the counting process. Addressing the concerns, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar emphasized the need for media introspection regarding the expectations shaped by exit polls.

“Exit polls often create significant distortions due to the expectations they set. This calls for self-reflection, particularly within the electronic media,” Kumar stated, urging self-regulatory bodies like the National Broadcasters Association (NBSA) to step up oversight of media organizations.

Kumar clarified that while the Election Commission of India does not regulate exit polls under the law, a concerning trend has emerged over recent elections, with news channels beginning their coverage of results as early as 8 AM.
