Kemi Badenoch Replaces Sunak as Leader of Conservative Party

Earlier this week, the Conservative Party of the UK made history by electing Kemi Badenoch as its new leader, marking the first time a Black woman has led a major political party in the country.

Badenoch takes over from former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, whose tenure witnessed the party's worst electoral defeat since 1832.

In the recent General Elections, the Conservatives lost over 200 seats, leaving them with just 121 in the House of Commons, as Keir Starmer's Labour Party emerged victorious.
