New Delhi: Deepak Sharma, an assistant superintendent at Delhi's Tihar Jail has been suspended after a video of him wherein he is seen dancing while brandishing a pistol went viral on social media. The video, which has gone viral on social media, showed Sharma, who serves at Mandoli Jail, dancing and waving the gun. The incident reportedly occurred at a birthday party for the spouse of a BJP corporator from Gonda.

The Delhi Police have not released an official statement regarding the video or its timing.
Earlier Sharma, also a prominent bodybuilder, had grabbed the limelight after reports of being defrauded of ₹50 lakh emerged. In his complaint, Sharma detailed how he was deceived by Rounak Gulia and her husband, Ankit Gulia, who lured him into investing in their health product brand under the pretence of business gains and a brand ambassador role.
Sharma, who met Rounak Gulia during the reality show "Ultimate Warrior" on the Discovery Channel, was introduced to her husband, Ankit Gulia, a prominent figure in the health product industry. According to the FIR, the couple convinced Sharma to invest ₹50 lakh in their health supplement venture, promising substantial profits and a prestigious ambassador role.
After Sharma transferred the funds, the couple reportedly vanished, leading him to file a complaint with the police. Consequently, a cheating case was registered against Rounak and Ankit Gulia at the Madhu Vihar police station in East Delhi.
