Wall collapse at under-construction site in Delhi's Jaitpur area kills 2 children
One injured was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

Two children died on the spot after a wall of an under-construction house in Delhi's Jaitpur area collapsed on Friday. One injured was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. It was learnt that, at the time of the tragedy, the construction works in that house were going on although there is a complete ban on construction and demolition in national capital amid air pollution woes. The injured person was admitted to Alsifa Hospital, Jamia Nagar.
At about 6.30 pm a call was made to report the wall collapse resulting in death of two children child and injury of one more. A team led by SI Ved Prakash rushed to the accident spot for necessary action. The wall collapse incident took place at Plot No D-938, Jaitpur Extn Part-2. This is an empty plot surrounded by a 10-year old brick wall. Moreover, half of the wall on one side had collapsed on its own sometime back. At the time of the tragedy, the ill-fated children were passing through the street. The victims - Ishaan (8/Khadda Colony) and Hamza (5) were declared brought dead. The injured child, identified as Roshni (6), is undergoing treatment. More information about the third injured child has not been received so far. However, an investigation into the wall collapse incident has been initiated.
