Documents Required in case of Lost or stolen driving license: 

Obtaining a duplicate driver’s license after loss or theft is a complex process, thus we have outlined the necessary documents required in order to issue a duplicate DL. Follow the guide to ensure a seamless experience in replacing your lost or stolen driver's license. 

  1. File a Police Report for the lost or stolen license. Check with your local police station to determine what are the necessary actions to be taken. 
  2. Submission of an LLD form which is for intimation of loss or destruction of driving licence and application for duplication  
  3. Filing an FIR Report, in case it gets lost or stolen. 
  4. Challan Clearance report issued by Delhi Traffic Authority. 
  5. Form No 1, a self-declaration form, to be filled by DL applicants. 
  6. Age proof  
  7. Address proof  

ONLINE PROCEDURE TO REPLACE A LOST OR STOLEN DRIVER’S LICENCE:

Procure an LLD Form: Fill and submit your LLD form which is an application for a duplicate driving license. It can be downloaded online, available on the official Sarathi website 

https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in 

Visit the RTO office: Submit the printed copy of the form to the RTO office where you previously got your driving license with your necessary documents. You will not be required to take the driving test in order to procure your duplicate DL. 

Delivery via Post :Once you are a done with all the formal procedures, the duplicate DL will be sent to your registered address through post.
