From Overcoming Self-Doubt To Becoming An IAS: Journey Of Delhi Girl Who Cracked UPSC On Her 6th Try
IAS Story: Priyanka Goel's persistence and diligence paid off, as she passed the UPSC exam on her 6th and last attempt, assuming an All India Rank (AIR) of 369.
UPSC Success Story: For millions of applicants, passing the Civil Services Exam (CSE) is the goal. Approximately 8–10 lakh candidates apply to the UPSC each year hoping to get into the IAS, IPS, or another civil service. However, only a fortunate few are able to realize their dreams. Numerous thousands of applicants are not selected for the final roster. Nonetheless, a lot of applicants persevere even after failing multiple times. IAS Priyanka Goel is one such person who persevered despite failing five times.
Priyanka's persistence and diligence paid off, as she passed the test on her sixth and last attempt. Assuming an All India Rank (AIR) of 369, IAS Priyanka Goel cleared the most challenging exam, the UPSC CSE 2022. She achieved the best grades in her subject, public administration (292). 193 points from the interview were included in her final list total of 965 points.
She was born and raised in Delhi, where she attended Keshav Mahavidyalaya and eventually earned a B.Com. Her childhood dream of joining the UPSC Civil Services was quickly realized after she graduated. Her life was filled with many disappointments and moments of self-doubt. She persevered through all of the difficulties and, on her final try, made it to the final list.
In addition to having a sharp mind, Priyanka loves social media and frequently posts images from her personal and work lives. On Instagram, she has 146k followers. "If one could only catch that true color of nature—the very thought of it drives me mad," her biography states.
