A Colossal Undertaking
Constructed at a cost of Rs 20.1 crore, the Hubli railway station boasts a staggering platform length of 1507 meters – that's nearly one and a half kilometers! This incredible length ensures that even the longest trains can comfortably fit on a single platform, enhancing passenger convenience and operational efficiency.
The overall development of the project, including the new platform, amounted to approximately Rs 500 crore.
A Guinness World Record Breaker
The newly added Platform 8, the crown jewel of the station, has earned its place in the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records. This recognition determines India’s growing prowess in infrastructure and its commitment to providing world-class transportation facilities.
