In a nail-biting World Cup showdown, Australia emerged victorious against India. The match, which kept fans on the edge of their seats, concluded with Australia beating India by six wickets to win its sixth ICC ODI World Cup title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. 

PM Modi’s heartfelt message to men in blue 

In a heartfelt message on social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to the Indian cricket team following their valiant efforts. The Prime Minister commended the team's talent and determination, acknowledging their noteworthy performance throughout the tournament.

"Dear Team India, Your talent and determination through the World Cup was noteworthy. You've played with great spirit and brought immense pride to the nation. We stand with you today and always,” he wrote.
