ISRO's team Chandrayaan-3 sends strong message to critics

ISRO scientists asserted that the unintentional casual remarks helped in putting tremendous effort in the mission to attain the feat India is celebrating now.

The historic Chandrayaan-3 mission has eventually kickstarted on the surface of the moon, after India’s spacecraft made a flawless landing on the lunar surface on August 23. Amid the entire world witnessing the thrilling moment with bated breath, India successfully managed to make the crucial soft landing on the south pole of the moon, further becoming the first ever country to achieve the feat. As the glorious moment being celebrated not only in India but across the world, the teams of ISRO are being showered with love, affection and good wishes, the team of scientists have sent a strong message to the critics. 

The scientists, while thanking those who put all their efforts to make India’s endeavor a success mission, said that the critics also helped in the mission to attain the feat it has grabbed. They asserted that the unintentional casual remarks helped in putting tremendous effort in the mission, eventually paving the way to land India on the moon. ISRO Chief S Somanath thanked and congratulated the entire country for the mission’s success. 

Casual remarks unintentionally helped in mission's success, say scientists

M Sankaran, Director, UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), who played a crucial part in India’s success story, thanked the critics for their casual remarks. “ISRO's today’s success has put the responsibility higher than ever, where nothing less than this will inspire. Efforts now will be made even stronger in the projects. We are further working to put the spacecraft on Mars, on Venus and also working on manned missions to space. We thank everyone, who directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentionally helped us in this project,” Sankaran stated. 

Adding to it, the URSC director stated, “The unintentional and casual remarks at an unintended point, helped in igniting our thoughts to achieve the target and touch the height.” 

The scientists further asserted that they welcome the criticism at every point of time, which will definitely help in minimizing the loopholes and further achieve many more successes in space exploration. 

The scientists of the ISRO emphasized that the entire team behind the mission kept living, sleeping, eating and thinking about the Chandrayaan for the last four years, ensuring the tremendous amount of effort behind this success. 

The entire project was supervised by the ISRO’s team led by S Somanath and his team including, S Unnikrishnan Nair, director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, senior scientist, ISRO, P Veeramuthuvel, project director, Chandrayaan-3, and M Sankaran, director, UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC).
