SpaceX's video of Starlink satellite deployment in space goes viral | Watch

SpaceX, on September 16, launched its 65th mission of the year from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off with 22 Starlink satellites at 9:08 am IST and the first stage booster landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean around nine minutes later. SpaceX said that this booster launched for the fifth time as it has previously supported Crew-6, SES O3b mPOWER and two Starlink satellites. 

At 10:14 am, SpaceX confirmed the deployment of all the satellites by Falcon's second stage. The company has now shared a video shot from the camera onboard the second stage of the deployment of satellites which is now going viral on social media. 

The Starlink launch was initially scheduled for September 15 but was postponed by a day due to unfavourable weather. With the latest launch, SpaceX has completed its 65th mission of the year, four more than its highest record set last year. 

The company has had a pretty busy week as it launched its 64th mission on September 12, and conducted test fires of its Raptor engines for the Starship rocket. It recently posted two videos of testing out the engines in simulated conditions for a Moon landing and when the rocket would be in its coast phase in outer space. 

The biggest challenge before SpaceX, however, is acing the second integrated test flight of Starship which is likely to take place in late October or early November. According to reports, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) which grounded Starship after its explosive first launch attempt, will grant a launch permit by late October. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, meanwhile, says that the rocket is completely ready for launch and has a much higher chance of success this time.
