End of an Era? Klay Thompson all but confirms exit from Golden Warriors ahead of Free Agency

An end of the era at Golden State Warriors might be coming sooner than expected as their star and one of the most important players behind the Warriors dynasty, Klay Thompson has dropped a massive hint over his future with the franchise. 

Klay Thompson has been one of the franchise players for Golden State Warriors and in a shocking turn of events, Thompson has now unfollowed the Golden State Warriors on Instagram. Not only has he unfollowed the Warriors on Instagram he has also went on to delete a lot of posts regarding him and Golden State Warriors.

Klay Thompson confirms exit from Golden State Warriors? 

Klay Thompson has just unfollowed the Golden State Warriors on Instagram and also deleted all the team related posts dating back to April 2022. This also included Klay Thompson celebrating Golden State Warriors latest NBA championship in 2022. 

This move seemingly all but confirms that the elite shooter is ready to take his talents to some other franchise when he officially enters the NBA Free Agency on June 30th. 

Klay Thompson is in the final year of his 5 years, $ 190 Million deal with the Warriors which he signed back in 2019. He is a free agent from June 30th and suggested back in February that he might be trending towards an exit from the franchise.

The Golden State Warriors rebuild is about to go underway after they missed the NBA Playoffs in 2024 and endured a torrid season by their own standards by finishing only 10th in the regular season. 

Klay Thompson was singled out as one of the factors for the Warriors downfall as his efficiency decreased. Klay Thompson if he does decide to part ways will enter free agency on June 30th and can sign with any team until June 6th.
