Chanathip scores as Sapooro beat Yokohama FC 5-1 in J League

Consadole Sapporo had a wonderful start of the new J League season as they beat Yokohoma FC in the opening game of 2021 with a convincing win on Saturday.

Consadole Sapporo had a wonderful start of the new J League season as they beat Yokohoma FC in the opening game of 2021 with a convincing win on Saturday.

Local fans were entertained in the Sapporo Dome as Yoshiaki Komai scored the first goal on the 2nd minute of the game followed by goals from Takuro Kaneko, Anderson Lopes and Chanathip Songkrasin. Tsuyoshi Ogashiwa provided three assists in the game.

Kleber scored a goal in the 29th minute for the visitors with the assists from Yuya Takagi.

Mihailo Petrovic's charges won 5-1, sitting on top of the table by goal differences.
