Cristiano Ronaldo Endorsed Return to Man United Amidst CR7’s Desire to Settle 'Unfinished Business'
Cristiano Ronaldo is backed for a return to Manchester United as many believe that there is a huge desire to settle 'unfinished business' at the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo is perhaps the best Manchester United player of all time, as he is the last ever player from Manchester United not but also the whole Premier League to win a Ballon d’Or in 2008. He rocked the football world under Sir Alex Ferguson and contributed significantly to the team's victory. His comeback in 2021 had a significant influence on the club's success. Despite his second stint with the team being terminated owing to managerial changes, it does not alter Ronaldo's excellent history with the Red Devils, which continues to resonate with fans across the world.
Cristiano Ronaldo is tipped for a Manchester United return but will he?
Though in a different capacity, ex-Manchester United striker Louis Saha has indicated support for a possible future post for Cristiano Ronaldo at the team. The Frenchman suggested that Ronaldo might someday be appointed manager of Manchester United. After a time with Juventus, Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford in August 2021, picking up the team he had left in 2009. He had spent nine years with Real Madrid prior to his joining Juventus.
Ronaldo is currently playing in Saudi Arabia, where his entrance has had a major impact on the Saudi Pro League and resulted in a flurry of well-publicised acquisitions. Saha thinks that even if Ronaldo is still a productive goal scorer, if he were moving into management he would have to change his approach to communicating. Still, Saha sees Ronaldo's chances for success and significant influence in a future management post as bright. According to TVSporten, Saha said:
“Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and dedication to return to Manchester United one day, that could be as a coach or even a manager. His second spell didn’t end how everyone had hoped and you can see why that frustrated him, he didn’t see the same formula and didn’t see the passion from young players that he had been used to seeing”,
“Now he will know that he needs to find a new way to communicate when he becomes a coach, which maybe isn’t as harsh or direct as it was when he was at the club. He will work out how to be successful and use all his knowledge to do that, we’ve seen Roy Keane go into management and have success. Cristiano will understand what he needs to do as a manager and I see no reason why he wouldn’t be a success,”
What were Cristiano Ronaldo’s on a possible return to Europe?
The destiny of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United has become clearer after his former teammate made comments suggesting a potential unexpected comeback.
Ronaldo, who had previously been a player for United from 2003 to 2009, made a much anticipated comeback in 2021. However, he left the club in November 2022 following a disagreement with Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo himself has moreover offered some explanation regarding his forthcoming intentions. After becoming a member of Al-Nassr without any transfer fee in December 2022, the Portuguese striker has expressed his opinions to the media about his plans. Before joining Al-Nassr, Ronaldo told the reporters (via-Sportsbible):
"My work in Europe is done,"
“I played at the best clubs in the world… and I won everything. I’m happy, proud to join Al Nassr. People don’t know about the level here. This contract is unique because I am a unique player. It's normal for me.”
