Hoffenheim up to seventh in the Bundesliga after 2-0 win over Hertha Berlin

Hoffenheim moved up into seventh place in the Bundesliga standings after beating visitors Hertha Berlin 2-0 on Friday.

Andrej Kramaric put 'Die Kraichgauer' ahead at the end of a flowing Hoffenheim attack in the 19th minute - the Croatian international scoring against Hertha for the ninth time in his career.

Sebastian Rudy doubled Hoffenheim's lead in the 36th minute, firing a shot past goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow after Robert Skov's shot came back off the far post.

The home side played against ten men for the final 14 minutes and added time, after Hertha captain Dedryck Boyata was shown the red card following a VAR review.

Hoffenheim won for a fourth time in six games in all competitions, while 'The Old Lady's' three-match winning run came to an end.
