Kylian Mbappe BREAKS NOSE after HORRIFYING injury in France vs Austria at Euro 2024

France opened their Euro 2024 group stage campaign by edging out Austria 1-0 in a close end to end encounter. But in a huge blow to France, their captain Kylian Mbappe has reportedly broken his nose for his country's first group stage game at Euros. 

The incident came in the 85th minute of the game when France had a corner to kill off the game. Antone Griezmann whipped in the cross but Kylian Mbappe failed to take advantage and his head collided with the shoulder of Austrian defender. 

Kylian Mbappe quickly started bleeding from his nose and was soon taken off by Didier Deschamps as the bleeding failed to stop. 

The news quickly came as soon as Kylian Mbappe was taken off that the forward has broken his nose and it will be interesting to see whether he makes it back in time for France.

What is the extent of Kylian Mbappe's injury?

The only thing that has been certain until now is that Kylian Mbappe has broken his nose. There is however, nothing to suggest for how long Kylian Mbappe can be out for France or will he miss any minutes or not. 

The collision to his head was certainly scary and did leave massive damage to Kylian's face. Players in the past have played with face masks and shields to deal with broken nose. Whether, France take the same route with Kylian Mbappe remains to be seen.

Kylian Mbappe's search for first Euro goal continues

As insane as the stat sounds, Kylian Mbappe is yet to score at the Euros. This is his second campaign in the European Championship and he failed to score in Euro 2020 for France. 

Tonight however was a completely different story as Kylian Mbappe had his chances in abundance. 

There were three occassions when Kylian Mbappe was through on goal and on any given day he would bury those chances. But tonight, he fired the first chance into the side net, miscontrolled the second chance and fired the third chance wide off the frame of the goal in the second half. 

Uncharacteristic misses for the French captain in front of goal but despite his misses he was creating great looks for his side.
