Kylian Mbappe's future remains a subject of uncertainty. The Paris Saint-Germain forward has refused to sign a new contract with the club and as things stand he will be a free agent next year. Mbappe's contractual situation hasn't really affected his game as the forward has been amongst goals in the Ligue 1 this campaign.

3 things you need to know

  • Kylian Mbappe is regarded as one of the most talented young footballers currently
  • He joined PSG in the year 2017
  • The 24 year old lifted the World Cup with France in 2018

Luis Enrique not happy with Kylian Mbappe

PSG are the runaway leaders in the French top flight but are just one point adrift of Nice who have cemented their place in the second spot. Mbappe scored a brilliant hattrick against Reims to hand the club their 12th win in the Ligue 1 but manager Luis Enrique seemed to be not happy with the player's performance as he demanded more from the 24 year old.

“I have nothing to say about the goals, but he can help the team in another way. I will talk about it with him first, but they are private conversations. Kylian is one of the best players in the world, but we want more.”

Having already scored 13 goals for PSG he currently sits at the top of the goal scoring charts. PSG lifted the Ligue 1 crown last season as they dodged the bullet very closely and this time they cannot take things for granted as the likes of Nice and Monaco are not much behind.

Kylian Mbappe makes a major admission on his managers

Mbappe admitted he has had a number of managers in his career and has maintained a good relationship with them.

"I’ve always worked well with the coaches I’ve had, like Didier Deschamps, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel and so on. These are coaches who have spoken to me ‘badly’, so to speak – but it didn’t stop me form playing well and having a good relationship with them.

“I’m a player who’s very demanding of himself, so when I find that demand from my coaches then I’m very happy. I don’t need my manager to tell me I’m the best player in the world every day.”
