At 0-0, the score stood as he took the pitch in the 55th minute. Then the World Cup winner scored four goals in the next half-hour, putting Inter into a commanding 4-0 lead. Martinez was notable for being the only player in Serie A history to score four goals in a single game while coming on as a substitute.
