Reece James on 'career-best form' ahead of England World Cup qualifier

England and Chelsea defender Reece James said is currently in his 'career-best form' ahead of his country's final two 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

21-year-old James has scored three goals and assisted one since the last international break and is fourth in the goal involvements table in the Premier League so far this season.

The right-back faces tough competition to feature in Gareth Southgate's starting eleven from Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester City's Kyle Walker.

With England's final qualifier against FIFA's lowest-ranked nation San Marino on Monday, a point at home against Albania on Friday would leave the Euro 2020 runners-up overwhelming favourites to finish top of Group I and next year's tournament in Qatar.
