Jyothi Yarraji breaks own 100m hurdles record, misses Paris Olympics mark by 0.01 second
Jyothi Yarraji has claimed a Bronze medal in Women's 100 metre hurdles at the World University Games in Chengdu, China on Friday.

Jyothi Yarraji claimed a Bronze medal in Women's 100-metre hurdles at the World University Games in Chengdu, China, on Friday. In the proceedings, The 23-year-old also has broken her national record which she recorded in Bengaluru last year. The youngster clocked a timing of 12.78 seconds and thus she bettered her previous national record of 12.82 seconds. China’s Wu Yanni came second while Slovakia’s Viktoria Forster took the Gold medal.
Unfortunately, Jyothi's valiant effort couldn't be of much help as she failed to breach the 12.77 seconds benchmark set for the qualification for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024.
