With just less than two months left in the 2023 edition of the biggest Kabaddi league, all 12 teams have started to prepare for PKL 2023. The opening match of the Pro Kabaddi League 10 will be played between Gujarat Giants and Telugu Titans in Ahmedabad on December 2.

What ‘High Five’ and 'Super 10" in Pro Kabaddi League?

Kabaddi is known more as a ‘raider’s' rather than a defender's game. Raiders such as Pardeep Narwal, Pawan Sehrawat, Naveen Kumar and Sidharth Desai have dominated in the Pro Kabaddi League. However, under the dominance of the raiders, defenders such as Fazel Atrachal, Girish Ernak, Ravinder Pahal and Vishal Bharadwaj have proven their mettle.

While any top performance by a raider during a Kabaddi match is considered a ‘Super 10’, the same act by the defender is known to be the ‘High Five. As per the Kabaddi rule book, if any raider scores 10 or more points during any PKL match, that is known to be a ’Super 10. On the other hand, if a defender is able to grab more than five tackle points in a PKL game, he adds a ‘High Five’ beside his name.
