Alex Pereira will be in action at UFC 295

Since Alex Pereira will be in action, therefore, it will be hard not to bring former Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya into the frame. Adesanya and Pereira go way back and have fought in different rings over the years. Pereira is the only fighter in UFC to have finished the Last Stylebender and Adesanya on the other hand is also the only one in the promotion to have inflicted a knockout on Poatan.

Israel Adesanya announces hiatus

After defeating Pereira, Adesanya was surprisingly overwhelmed by Sean Strickland and following that he announced a hiatus from UFC. Paying heed to the same, republicworld.com reached out to Arjun Chipalkatti, one of India's premier MMA experts. According to him, it was a needful move which would reinvigorate him, and help him come back stronger.

"Brilliant move, brilliant brilliant move! Israel Adesanya has been one of the most active champions. He's fought, I think in the last two years he has fought 6-7 times. It is ridiculous how much he has fought, and that too with no time to recover from his injury. No time to recover from the mental trauma of facing one of his biggest rivals, to getting knocked out to getting back and knocking Alex out. All these things take a mental toll on the fighter. And it is not just the body and the training. It's to put yourself through that for such a long time, is grueling, so, I am really happy about the fact that he is going to take some time off. The three years Jones took off and you see what happened, he came back renewed. He came back reinvigorated, completely different, So I am glad for Israel Adesanya. I want him to take some time off and come back even stronger."
