The Olympic flame for Tokyo 2020 began its two days visit in Hyogo Prefecture on Sunday..
The relays were not conducted on the public road due to the spread of the new conronavirus, making Hyogo the latest prefecture in Japan not having the Olympic flame running on the public roads.
The Torch Relay in Hyogo Prefecture was planned to connect 14 cities with about 180 runners, but due to the extension of the state of emergency only the ignition ceremony was staged at Himeji Castle.
The ceremony was held at "Sannomaru Square" without the general public, runners just transfer the torch to the next runner at "Torch Kiss" on the stage..
The Tokyo Olympic torch relay will be held across all 47 prefectures of Japan over 121 days.
It will end on July 23rd at the Opening Ceremonies in Tokyo.
