Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 141st session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai. The IOC session is a significant gathering of IOC members where crucial decisions regarding the future of the Olympic Games are deliberated and made.

During his speech at the event, PM Modi expressed India's strong desire to host the Olympics within the country. He emphasized India's unwavering commitment to leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the successful organization of the 2036 Olympics, a dream that resonates with India's 1.4 billion citizens.

"India is eager to organise Olympics in the country. India will leave no stone unturned in the preparation for the successful  organisation of the Olympics in 2036, this is the dream of the 140 cr Indians," PM Modi said at the 141st IOC Session in Mumbai.

This marks the second time India has hosted the IOC session, with nearly four decades passing since the last. The 86th IOC session was previously held in New Delhi in 1983, as stated in a press release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The session was graced by the presence of Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee, and other IOC members, as well as notable figures from the Indian sporting community and representatives from various sports federations, including the Indian Olympic Association.
