Casper Ruud beats John Millman 6-3, 6-4 to reach BMW Open semis

Norwegian number two seed Casper Ruud reached the semi-finals of the BMW Open in Munich on Saturday, following a 6-3, 6-4 victory over eighth seed John Millman of Australia.

The match resumed at the start of the second set after Friday's disruptive weather and Ruud quickly raced to a 3-0 lead.

Millman broke back for 3-1, but Ruud was able to serve out without further alarm and he set up a last four encounter with Georgian number 5 seed Nikoloz Basilashvili.

That match is due to take place later on Saturday.
