Fans have started streaming in to the revamped Roland Garros for the 2021 French Open.

The Parisian grand slam is back in May sunshine after being rescheduled in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Only 5,400 visitors will be allowed to enter the venue each day for the first ten days of the tournament, which is an increase on the daily cap of 1,000 last year.

France is currently under stage two of the government's coronavirus restrictions and residents are still subject to a 9pm curfew.

This means players will be playing to an empty arena for 9 out of the 10 night sessions, which are introduced for the first time at the French Open this year.

From June 9th, capacity will be increased to up to 13,000 visitors per day.
