Roman Reigns is at the mountaintop of WWE and has been the sole undefeated man in the promotion. His tenacity to defeat and stack up his fallen opponents seems to be the only thing he has been doing. Whether it's a clean win or some assistance offered from The Bloodline, Reigns always seems to find a way to take his opponent down. But with time, the fans have seemed to get bored of Reigns despite his limited presence in the shows. Sure, Reigns' appearance makes a storyline engaging. But the fans have been dying to see a change. With WrestleMania season fast approaching, there are chances that the upcoming year may be the one when Roman could lose his title. But whom should he lose it to?
3 things you need to know

- He won the title at WWE's Payback PPV
- Since then, Roman has remained undefeated in singles action
The Ones Who Can Defeat Roman Reigns: An Overview
The time is closing in for WWE to crown a new Universal Heavyweight champion. And WrestleMania 40 can be the ideal place for the brand to make the changes. WWE may also have the right guy who can efficiently lead the charge in the Blue Brand. Here are the top three wrestlers who can succeed the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns as a Universal Champion.
Cody Rhodes
This one seems to be a no-brainer. Cody is certainly a fan favourite and goes well over with the crowd. Since his return to the WWE from AEW, Rhodes has evolved into a star attraction, something he may have never been able to do without exiting the company earlier. He built into the stature that he deserves to be and looks like a true second-generational wrestler, leading the legacy of his father, Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes. While Cody failed to clinch the title; Again, thanks to the Bloodline, he never really gave up on the quest for the title. Rhodes was successful in befriending a bloodline member, Jey Uso, and things could easily lead to him laying another challenge to Roman Reigns in the Grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.
The Rock
The Rock's recent return to the Blue Brand proved that the Brahma Bull is still loved by the WWE Universe. The pop that he received was more raucous than what John Cena does. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson seems to be in peak physical shape and square off in the squared circle. Not too long ago, there were rumours that Rock vs Roman was a lock for WrestleMania in LA, but it did not happen, and it was Cody who went against Reigns. But Dwayne revealed that there were talks, and he even met with WWE for the match to make it happen. While it did not take place, one should not rule out the possibility of the match to take place. Until the SAG-AFTRA, Hollywood Studios strike goes on, there is still a chance for him to do the match and even take the W over Reigns
Damian Priest
This selection might be a surprise, but until Triple H is in creative power, one should not rule out Damian Priest from the championship page. The current Senor Money in the Bank was a big deal when he was in NXT. His current run with The Judgement Day has been acting like a cherry on top, and it has allowed him to open up to his full potential. Priest holds the moral advantage over any current champion. While he has been poking around the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Priest isn't ruling out cashing in against Reigns as well. Priest has good in-ring skills, stellar mic qualities and over-the-top abilities to function as a singles star and as a tag team. Speaking of building new champions, Damian Priest cannot be ruled out as he has what it takes to be a champion.
