WhatsApp Pay: WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging platforms globally, has come up with a new payment feature on the platform using which users can send and receive money right within their chats with the ease and security of BHIM UPI.

Right after the launch, WhatsApp Pay gained substantial traction among its users, however, the pace of adoption fell drastically later on due to the lack of adequate promotion and attention to the user experience. WhatsApp Pay UPI is designed to make it easier to split bills, send money home, or contribute to group gifts.

With WhatsApp Pay, users can send money directly to their contacts’ bank accounts without the need for sharing QR codes or UPI IDs. Here are some other key features of WhatsApp Pay:

Security: In WhatsApp Pay, the payment information is rigorously protected. WhatsApp does not store card or UPI PIN information, and every payment requires a UPI PIN for added security.

Simple setup: Adding your bank account to WhatsApp Pay is a one-time process. Once set up, you can send and receive money directly through WhatsApp, and the service is compatible with anyone who uses UPI-based apps such as GooglePay, PhonePe,

Transaction tracking: Users can conveniently track the status of their transfers directly within their chats. Additionally, they can access their transaction history through the payment settings.
