iPhone 16 price in India drops for first time on Amazon: Check out the deal

The iPhone 16 -- Apple's latest marquee and cheapest smartphone with Apple Intelligence support -- is currently down to one of its lowest prices. For the first time, Amazon has dropped the iPhone 16 price from Rs 79,900 to Rs 77,900 with no conditions. That means customers do not need to use a bank card or voucher to bring down the cost of the iPhone 16.

In addition to the flat Rs 2,000 discount, Amazon will also offer customers bank discounts so that they can save more. Owners of SBI or ICICI Bank credit cards could get a cashback of up to Rs 5,000. While that totals the discount to Rs 7,000, customers can additionally go for exchange. Amazon has mentioned bonuses based on the traded-in device. For instance, the iPhone 12 could get customers around Rs 20,000 as a discount against the iPhone 16. In any case, the total discount iPhone 16 customers can get is Rs 7,000, including a cashback of Rs 5,000.

Customers can talk to the redesigned Siri, take the help of AI to write and compose messages or texts better, edit photos to remove unwanted objects or people, and use the Notes app in an entirely different way.

Other than the capability to run AI, the iPhone 16 uses the new A18 chip, based on the 3nm process, for faster performance and better power efficiency. Apple claims the iPhone 16 can load graphics-intensive apps and games faster and allow for better multitasking. The iPhone 16 uses a 48MP Fusion Camera with better HDR and low-light performance. Its second camera is a 12MP ultrawide sensor, which also doubles as a macro sensor. The iPhone 16 has a 12MP front camera, capable of recording Dolby Vision videos in 4K 60fps.

The iPhone 16 uses a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It has up to 512GB storage options.
