AI 171 Crash: Victims’ Families File Suit Against Boeing & Honeywell Over Fuel Switches
The families of four victims from the June 12 crash of Air India Flight 171 have filed a lawsuit in Delaware Superior Court against Boeing and Honeywell, the manufacturer of the aircraft’s fuel switches. They allege the tragedy, which claimed 260 lives, was caused by defective fuel switches in the Boeing 787. This lawsuit moves forward despite the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) asserting that the switches did not appear to play a role in the accident.
