Bengal Elections Phase-2 Rigged In Falta! BJP Vote Button Blocked By Tape

According to the BJP, hooligans allegedly blocked the BJP vote button on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) using tape in several polling booths in Falta, preventing voters from casting their votes for the party’s candidate. BJP leaders, including Amit Malviya, have strongly condemned the incident and demanded immediate repolling in all affected booths.

The controversy erupted amid reports of tension and irregularities in Falta, which falls under the Diamond Harbour area. The BJP has described the act as a clear attempt to rig the election and suppress votes.

The Election Commission of India is yet to issue an official statement on the matter. Polling for the second and final phase of the Bengal elections is currently underway across 142 assembly seats.
