Sky High Legacy: President Continues India’s Air Power Tradition

In a proud moment for the nation, President Droupadi Murmu took her maiden sortie in the Rafale fighter jet at Ambala Air Force Station, home to India’s elite Rafale squadron.

This historic flight marks the first time a sitting Indian President has flown in a Rafale, showcasing India’s advancing defense confidence and air dominance.

The sortie also honors the tradition of past Presidents like A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Pratibha Patil, who celebrated the power and legacy of the Indian Air Force through their own flights.
