'Was in Shock': Dramatic Video of Whale Crashing Into Boat Goes Viral

Viral video: A jaw-dropping video of a humpback whale colliding with a small boat off New Hampshire has gone viral, captivating the internet with its dramatic visuals. The footage reveals the aftermath of the crash, showing the boat overturning and tossing two fishermen into the water as a massive whale leaps out of the ocean and lands head-first onto the vessel.

The incident was witnessed by Colin (16) and Wyatt Yager (19), two brothers from Maine who were on their first fishing trip off Rye, New Hampshire. The viral video shows one of the brothers watching in disbelief as a white boat is capsized by the giant whale's sudden impact.

"I had my fishing rod right here, phone in my hand and just saw it go up," one of the brothers told local media. The video captures the brothers' astonishment as they witness what many are calling a 'miracle of nature.'

The footage also shows one of the men on the overturned boat jumping into the ocean, while another was briefly submerged under the boat before managing to climb back aboard after it stabilized.

The video, shared on X, rapidly went viral, amassing over four million views and sparking a flurry of comments within hours. The heroic rescuers featured in the clip are Colin and Wyatt Yager, Maine brothers who were fishing nearby and came to the aid of the stranded fishermen.

The video comes with a cautionary note advising Portsmouth, New Hampshire residents to stay alert for an agitated whale in the area.

The Yager brothers have been celebrated as heroes for their swift action in rescuing the fishermen near Odiorne Point in Rye, New Hampshire.

Wyatt Yager, initially unfazed by the whale, noted that all boats had been avoiding its feeding area. However, the whale’s unexpected approach led to the dramatic collision, capsizing the fishermen’s boat.

Wyatt recounted his surprise at the event, while nearby boats quickly mobilized to assist the men in the water. Thankfully, both the fishermen and the whale emerged from the incident without injuries.
