New Delhi: Online dating has indeed become a popular way for people to connect and find potential partners. With the rise of dating apps and websites, individuals are presenting themselves in the best possible light to attract matches and stand out from the crowd.

However, a viral Tinder profile of an IIT alumnus has sparked a flurry of reactions online. The profile, shared by a woman, showcases a person highlighting their academic achievements instead of personal qualities. She was stunned as the post was captioned, "IIT nerds should be banned from dating apps. This is Tinder, not LinkedIn!"

The unconventional profile lists the user's:

- Class 10 and 12 percentages
- JEE Mains and Advanced ranks
- NTSE and KVPY scholarships
- B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay
- Job at Infosys
- Height

How did the internet react to this?

The post garnered significant attention, with over 8.7K likes and 510 comments, mostly humorous. The internet reacted with amusement, poking fun at the user's approach to online dating.

One user hilariously commented on the user's profile "If all this impressive history at a prestigious institute doesn’t impress you… here’s my height.”

Another remarked ''Like people will ask them to solve calculus problems''

A user called the post "photoshopped" they added the guy who photoshopped this doesn't know any other IT company. He believes Infosys is crème de la crème. That's what happened.

While many defended the user as well by opining that the person has earned the achievements and can write about it.

A comment read "So, you are so jealous, that he can't even show his achievements. You can't even match 1% of his achievements. If he makes a switch, the hike literally will be able to buy you.''
