In recent times, there’s a lot of talk about work culture, stress, and the idea that technology could replace human jobs. Phrases like “Are you a robot?” or “Why are you working like a machine?” are often used when someone seems overburdened. People assume robots can work 24/7 without a break. But what if that’s not entirely true? What if even robots want to stick to shift hours and avoid overtime?

A video making rounds on social media has grabbed attention for this very reason. It shows a small robot walking slowly inside a Chinese facility where six large robots are stationed. The tiny robot, identified as "Erbai," approaches the bigger robots and starts a conversation. What makes it fascinating is that the robots seem to discuss work and life, almost like humans.

Here’s how the conversation goes in the video:

Erbai: Are you working overtime?

Big robot: I never get off work.

Erbai: So you’re not going home?

Big robot: I don’t have a home.

Erbai: Then come home with me.

In the video, after this exchange, Erbai leads the bigger robots away, sparking curiosity and amusement among viewers.

Real or Just a Stunt?

According to a Gulf News report, the video isn’t fake. The robots were created by two different companies—Unitree Robotics from Hangzhou and another company based in Shanghai. The manufacturers confirmed that the video was part of an experiment.

The report mentioned that Unitree Robotics, which made the small robot Erbai, approached the Shanghai company to collaborate on this unique experiment. The conversation and actions were staged but were not computer-generated or fake.
