Flight Radar Shows Exact Location Where Brazilian Plane Voepass Atr 72 Went Missing
A plane able to carry dozens of passengers crashed in Brazil's Sao Paulo state on Friday, but it was not immediately clear how many people were onboard.
New Delhi: A Brazilian plane with 62 people onboard crashed in Sao Paulo state on Friday. According to reports, all the 62 people including 58 passengers and four crew members are feared dead. The local firefighters corps confirmed that the plane fell in the city of Vinhedo, but did not offer more details.
Brazil’s TV GloboNews showed footage of a large area on fire and smoke coming out of an apparent plane fuselage.
According to Flightradar24, the Brazilian Plane VoePass ATR 72 went missing near the Vinhedo city in Brazil. The plane was bound for Sao Paulo.
Firefighters confirmed that the plane fell in the city of Vinhedo, but did not offer more details. The firefighter corps was dispatching teams to the crash site.
Brazil’s airport authority Infraero did not immediately confirm the information. No local airlines immediately reported one of their planes to be missing.
Brazilian television network GloboNews showed footage of a large area on fire and smoke coming out of an apparent plane fuselage in a residential area full of houses. Additional footage on GloboNews showed a plane drifting downward vertically, spiraling as it fell.

At an event in southern Brazil, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva asked the crowd to stand and observe a minute of silence.
Brazilian authorities are yet to comment on the cause of the incident and on the black box.
